Before you ever let anyone know what you stand for, figure it out what you stand for and stick to it. It is always good to know what you stand for because you don't know when you will be in a situation where you will need to stand up for your standards. I have been in situations where I have had to know what I stood for and what I didn't stand for. There were times that I had lost sight of those standards but you can always reevaluate where you are and what standards you need back in your life. It is never too late to let yourself and other people what you stand for. There are some people who can help you keep your standards. I know that there have been a few people in my life who have helped me keep my standards because they knew what they were.

I know that I have gone through my life always trying to get just a little bit richer or having all this money so I could do a lot of things or have a lot of things. It's okay to have some money but we dont need money to be running our lives. That will just make us greedy and become even more of the world. I like this quote because it's saying that we can be wealthy through the kindness or the good that we do in the world. If we spend a little bit less time worrying about things that we absolutely want or think that we need and spend more time helping others in their time of need then we become rich in a different way. I know that sometimes our day can be a little bit busy but do a little bit of service each day. If you see someone that has dropped their books at school stop and help pick their things up. The smallest kindness that anyone can do is say hi to someone as they walk by them. I know that has cheered me up. Volunteer at a local food bank, or at a library. I challenge you to do one act of kindness a day and that will help make your day so much better.
You will become so much wealthier through the good that you do. And remember there are more than one way to make your life wealthy.

A Quote a Day

I know that I havent written in over a year and a half. I dont have an other excuses to make than that I have forgotten since the last time I have written. My life really hasn't been that hectic or busy. I have just put the blogs on a backburner until today when I found my Quote Book that I started back when I was in 9th grade and I had an English teacher who had one of us put a quote on the board each class and we would discuss that quote for a few minutes. I have decided to do that with this blog. I am going to put up a quote each day and write what I think that quote means to me. If you follow this blog you are more than welcome to contribute to what you think that the quote means to you or if you have a quote that you want me to put on the blog then go ahead and contribute. I have counted all of the quotes that I have and I have enough quotes that it will take me close to two years to go through all of my quotes. I hope you enjoy.

Find out what dreams you want to work for and go confidently in that direction. Sometimes you don't realize that something isnt a dream until it was thrusted into your arms from someone who you would never think would help make it a dream for you. That happened one day when I was junior in high school and I had gone to see the art teacher after school to see if my older sister was there visiting her. The art teacher then had me sign up for the Russia trip the following October. Going to Russia was never a dream for me until then. And when it did become a dream I went confidently toward that dream and I worked hard to make that dream come true. Two years later I had another dream to go on a Europe trip. I worked hard to make that dream to come true as well. Now I need to figure out what my new dream(s) should be and go confidently in the direction of those dreams. I am the person who can make my dreams come true. I need to be the one to work on the dreams. But it is okay to have a push from the right person to go in the right direction. There have been several people in my life who have pushed me in the right direction and there will be others as well.
